What Happens in Then Everyone Went Home
The finale opens with a chase. Talia, fully merged with Capri, hunts Kiril through the streets of Night City, using the construct's power to pull metal around herself like armour. Kang Tao soldiers slow her down but cannot stop her.
Weak catches up and tries to be the one who kills Kiril — not for revenge, but to keep Talia from doing it. Talia turns on him instead. Kang Tao opens fire, and the urn carrying Avida's ashes takes the rounds that would have killed him. It is the season's most heavy-handed image and its most effective one.
Kang Tao lures Talia into the Badlands and orders an airstrike to destroy both the host and the construct. Kyoko arrives with a portable EMP, warns everyone to stay clear, and triggers it as the missiles come in. The blast drops everything electrical for miles: the mecha, the missiles, Kiril's transport. Kyoko is fatally injured and dies telling D that Arasaka and Militech are already on their way. Kiril dies in the wreckage.
In the aftermath, D pulls the chip from Talia's head and reunites the two halves of Capri. She repairs his body — a new arm, a new leg — and the two of them go out to meet the corporate armies together. D tears through the first wave, then Capri points him toward a light in the sky. He smiles into Roman's camera and launches toward it. The show cuts away before we learn where he lands.
The last act is deliberately quiet. Talia survives, but her recovery is temporary and she has to be stripped of most of her chrome. Weak takes her out of Night City to a rehabilitation clinic. Before she goes, she tells Roman that he is talented and that they will see each other again. Weak says he wants to live. Roman runs off with his camera to film something new, and the final shot tilts up to a single bright point in the sky.

New Characters and Reveals
No new characters are introduced in the finale. The episode's only real revelation is structural: the season ends on survival rather than sacrifice, which is the inverse of season 1 and the clearest statement of what showrunner Bartosz Sztybor meant by calling this story a mirror.
The light Capri points at is never identified. The show offers no confirmation of whether it is a star, a satellite or something else, and the creative team has said they know what happens next but are not sharing it.
Songs in Episode 10
- “Samba de Santo Domingo” — Tsuneo Imahori. D recognises Roman as they regroup with Omi.
- “Worth It” — Corbin. Talia and Capri fight Kang Tao while Weak watches Avida's ashes scatter.
- “You Can't Run From Me” — Rico Nasty. Kyoko triggers the EMP as the missiles close in.
- “A Rusty Dream” — DOUDOU. D pulls Capri's chip from Talia and reunites with her.
- “In Love With Myself” — Kalman Chodakiewitz. D and Capri face the advancing corporate armies.
Episode 10 Ending Explained
The finale is asking a simple question: is a good death better than a difficult life? Season 1 answered yes. Season 2 answers no, and then refuses to pretend the alternative is easy. Weak survives with a body that will never be what it was. Talia survives with a body that may not last. Roman survives with footage of everyone he lost.
D is the exception the show will not resolve. His final flight can be read as a death, an escape or an ascension, and all three readings are supported by what is on screen. What is not ambiguous is the choice: he stops chasing revenge and spends his last moments with the only thing that ever made him feel whole.
